A widely researched herb, with a long history of safe and effective use by herbalists throughout the world.

In Ayurvedic medicine, Tulsi is revered as one of India’s most sacred ‘Adaptogenic’ herbs. These herbs demonstrate significant anti-stress effects, reducing cortisol levels and supporting all body systems back into balance/harmony.

ADAPTOGEN - GENERAL TONIC

Tulsi is an exceptional adaptogen, providing a rejuvenating tonic to bodily systems, restoring vigor and vitality.

Taken daily Tulsi has been shown to optimise cholesterol levels and reduce stress-related hypertension. Overall mediation of stress-related damage, improving cardiovascular health and providing protection for the heart.

IMMUNE RESPONSE

Inhibits excess immune response by reducing mast cell degeneration and therefore inhibiting histamine release.

Shown to reduce asthma symptoms and other levels of allergic reactivity, whilst improving antibody production.

BRAIN

Shown to enhance cerebral circulation and memory.

Can provide relief during periods of grief, helping to feel less hopeless and more connected to those around us. By reducing feelings of isolation, Tulsi supports increased joy and happiness.

Useful within treatments for generalised anxiety disorder.

Often used for ‘brain fog’ and to improve concentration and mental acuity.

If combined with Rosemary, Bacopa and Gingko has shown increased support in menopause/hormone-related ‘brain fog’, poor memory, ADHD and recovery from head trauma. Can relieve anxiety whilst improving clarity of thinking, not sedating.

DIGESTION

Strengthening and enhancing to digestion - is a relaxing ‘bitter’.

Shown to be helpful in preventing gastric ulceration.

Balancing/normalising to blood sugar levels.

Combining with ginger can aid a windy disposition, loss of appetite, ulceration and heartburn.

PAIN

Anti-inflammatory action = reduction in pain, especially chronic pain, and can even protect against radiation (to some degree).

Useful alone or within pain formulas. Has a specific calming effect within these blends:

Alongside Green Tea can aid reduce inflammation and improve energy levels. 

For overall pain reduction, combine with turmeric, cayenne, ginger, rosemary, and green tea.

 RESPIRATORY - LUNG FUNCTION

Beneficial for bronchitis and those suffering reduced pulmonary function, in its many forms.

Helps upper respiratory infection, also aiding in expectoration of difficult-to-remove secretions.

EVERYDAY USE:

 3-5mls up to three times a day.

Can be taken long-term - approx every 6 wks, discontinue/break for 2 wks, then restart. Repeat as necessary.

Beneficial and safe for an entire lifetime!

SAFETY: NOT FOR USE in pregnancy or when trying to conceive.

NOT FOR USE with warfarin or other blood thinning medication - as can further affect clotting.

NOT FOR USE in IDDM as can reduce blood sugar levels, so require less Insulin. If do use monitor levels very closely and work with healthcare/herbal practitioner until achieve desired results.
